About
SUBBzero is a dynamic 9-piece jazz ensemble celebrated for its vibrant fusion of jazz-infused reggae, ska, and funk. Inspired by trailblazers such as Jazz Jamaica, The Skatalites, Gary Crosby, Bob Marley, Thelonious Monk, and Freddie Hubbard, the group crafts a sound that is both rooted in tradition and boldly forward-looking.
Formed in 2007, SUBBzero has appeared at notable events including Jazz Jurassica (as Jazz Bab, 2018), Swanage Jazz Festival (2019), Stompin’ on the Quomps (2019 & 2021), and The Big One Ska & Reggae Festival (2023).
